Faberge invoice

A copy of the original Fabergé invoice for the frame. It is interestingly
written in German for the benefit of the Tsarina, born a Princess
of Hesse-Darmstadt

An Imperial photograph frame in the
Louis XVI taste by Faberge

Shaped as the tip of Cupid's dart, the frame is
decorated with translucent blood red enamel
over a circular guillochage and four coloured
gold festoons suspended from pearls the circular
aperture within a bezel of half pearls, backed
with mother-of-pearl and supported
on a scrolled strut

5.2 cm by 4.6 cm

inventory number 3372

Purchased from Fabergé for eighty-five roubles
by Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra
