A gold, emerald and enamel brooch by Henry Wilson,

in the the form of a lotus flower,
decorated with enamel in shades of
pink, green,white and blue,
and set centrally with a cabochon emerald.

The reverse of the brooch is applied with a white enamel plaque
against which the letters of an Indian mantrum are seen in gold.

Henry Wilson (1864-1934)
was an architect, sculptor, metalworker and jeweller.
He taught at the Central School of Arts and Crafts and the Royal College of Art
and exhibited regularly with the Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society from 1889,
taking over as president in 1915. His collaborators and apprentices included
J. Paul Cooper and H.G. Murphy.
