An enamelled and gem set gold and silver pendant
by Carlo and Arthur Giuliano,

composed of three concentric hearts, the centre section decorated with green guilloché enamel,
the second with pale yellow guilloché enamel, the third of silver openwork set

The firm of Giuliano, founded in the 1880's by Carlo Giuliano, specialised in Revivalist jewellery and.
favoured the Renaissance style. Delicate enamelling was characteristic of their work, and their
reputation as art jewellers brought them the patronage of Pre-Raphaelite artists. Amongst them was Sir
Edward Burne-Jones who supplied the firm with his own designs, often incorporating the heart shape
as a decorative device.

Examples of jewellery by Giuliano can be found in many public collections including
the British Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

6cm in length including loop.
