A painted enamel and gem set gold pendant locket
by Eugène Fontenay,

centred by a painted enamel scene by Eugène Richet of Pompeian inspiration depicting a cherub riding a lion, encircled by rose cut diamonds, the pendant applied back and front with granulation in the revivalist taste, hinged to
the top and opens to reveal a compartment beneath glass.

3.4 cm in diameter excluding loop.
