An antique gold and enamel brooch by Fontenay,
of inverted pear shaped form,
the central painted enamel panel by Eugène Richet
depicting a goddess, probably Flora,
walking barefoot in classical dress trailing flowers,
the gold mount in the Archaeological taste decorated with filigree and granulation
with applied rosettes and double snake motif.
In original red leather and silk lined case.
