Faberge Anteater

An extraordinary desk seal by Carl Fabergé,

in the form of a stylised fish, the body bowenite mounted with a gold mouth,
gold eyes set with a cabochon garnet and a finely engraved matt gold tail, the
stem enamelled translucent red over a cross hatched guillochage and encircled
with a band of half pearls and a band of green gold laurels against a red gold
ground, the foot a stylised shell with curved wave like reeding, the
circular bowenite seal stone is uncut.

56 zolotnik gold standard.
