A jewelled coloured gold nephrite frame
by Carl Fabergé,
formed from a rectangular panel of nephrite with indented sides, centred by a rectangular
aperture beneath bombe glass held in a half pearl bezel set with a ruby to each corner,
mounted with finely chased four coloured gold swags and festoons suspended
from rose diamonds, two further rose diamonds set in gold towards the bottom of
the frame, surmounted by a red gold bow mounted with a cabochon ruby, t
he backing mother of pearl , supported on a scrolled silver gilt strut.

Aarne has cut the nephrite panel very finely, it has a gauge of only 3.6 mm.
