
A Royal coloured gold and nephrite table clock
by Carl Fabergé,
carved from Siberian nephrite in the form an arch with tapering sides on a beveled pediment,
the opaque white enamel dial with Arabic chapters and openwork gold hands held beneath
glass in bezel of chased green gold laurel leaves bound by red gold ties, mounted below the dial
with a green and red gold swag and festoons, the base encircled by similarly coloured gold
swags, the movement's winders to the reverse mounted on a concave gold back.

dated 12th May 1912.
Provenance:
Purchased from Fabergé's London Branch at 173 New Bond Street by Mrs. Leeds for £75
on 4th December 1915 .Mrs. Leeds, an American millionairess from Cleveland Ohio, resided
in Grosvenor Square and was one of Fabergé's most important customers, acquiring a total
of sixty-five pieces mainly between 1915 and 1916. She later married Prince Christopher
of Greece and became Princess Anastasia of Greece.
