A large two coloured gold case in the Louis XVI
taste by by Carl F
abergé,

the engine turned red gold body of rectangular form with oval
cross section decorated with bands of chased green gold
laurels, openwork acanthus leaves and flower heads.

Chief Workmaster: Henrik Wigstrom, St. Petersburg,
1903-1908, inventory number 26053.

13cm by 6.6cm by 2.6cm.

Fabergé's cases of this size are very rare. Its size would suggest
it is was for cigars rather than cigarettes.
