Faberge bellpush

An Imperial bellpush by Carl Fabergé,

formed from a block of nephrite, the push a Danish elephant
carved from white chalcedony and set with ruby eyes
stood on a silver gilt ground enamelled translucent
red over a sunburst guillochage, with Bakelite insert
underneath covering the mechanism.

Chief Workmaster: Henrik Wigström, St. Petersburg,
1904, inventory number: 10077.

Purchased from Faberge's St. Petersburg branch by
The Dowager Tsarina Marie Feodorovna on
18th August 1904 for 150 roubles.

Provenance:

Purchased from a descendant of the Dowager Tsarina.
