A jewelled ‘pierced heart’ brooch,

mounted in yellow gold, one section of smooth polished amethyst, the other
of pavé-set rubies, bound with rose diamond set ties and pierced
by a circular brilliant cut diamond wound.

The jewel is an unusually modern and striking depiction of a heart that has been pierced by
Cupid’s arrow; the amethyst is used to symbolise devotion,the rubies are emblematic of
passion and the diamonds of a love that will last forever.
