A jewelled pin by Janesich,

platinum, with a scrolling cascade centred on a cabochon emerald, set with old
brilliant and single cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.75ct.

Signed Janesich and numbered,
with French assay marks,
Paris, circa, 1900.

Janesich was established in Trieste in 1835 and high quality of the firm's work quickly attracted an international following.
In 1890 a branch of the business opened in Paris at 19, rue de la Paix, this was followed by locations in Biarritz,
London, Monte Carlo and Vichy. Their clients included among others the Archduke of Austria, King Nicholas
of Montenegro and the Duke of Aosta.
